The Regional Museum in Žďár nad Sázavou is located in the town centre near St. Procopius Church. It has two exhibition houses – Tvrz (old stronghold) and Moučkův dům (Moučka’s House), situated in sight from each other. The museum is open daily except Monday.
Permanent Exhibition in the Moučkův dům: You can see the history of Žďár since the Middle Ages to the 20th century there, the store from the 1st half of 20th century, the Middle-class drawing room and presentation of some famous products from Žďár, too.
Opening Hours: Guided tours start at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 and 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00. Every tour starts in Tvrz and takes about 50 minutes.
Short-term exhibitions in Tvrz: There are various exhibitions of many themes in old stronghold in Žďár, e.g. Regional theme (Žďár Burghers World, Mystery and Magic of Highland Christmas, Ice hockey in Žďár 1939–2009), Art theme (Anton Johann Ferenz, Highlands Moods), Educative theme not only for schools (Physics Play, Come with us in the Wood, Ave Caesar!) and festival presentations.

Other activities: The tower of St. Procopius Church is open for visitors by the museum in cooperation with the Catholic Parish of Žďár nad Sázavou approximately four times a year. Museum organizes Museum Nights, lectures on various themes, educative walks and expert consultations.
